The most wide-ranging experiment ever conducted on German television as cameras follow 100 couples over a period of one year and provide us with an insight into their family lives. All of these couples share a common desire: “we are eager to start a family”. Some will fail and give up in despair. Others will discover that the pregnancy for which they have been yearning for so long does not only bring happiness. And others will beam from ear to ear as their desire is fulfilled. The dream of new life and the joy of having a child.
